Concerns About Italy
What I find most concerning about Italy is their GDP per capita. The GDP for the country as a whole is ranked 11th in world at 1.72 trillion dollars. The GDP per capita is ranked 43rd with 30,500 per capita. Italy's income is so high as a whole while the people of Italy's income is not as high proportionally. If the GDP is ranked 11th, I think the GDP per capita should be ranked 11th as well. Unemployment is at 8.4% which is ranked 94th compared to the rest of the world. Italy should focus on creating more jobs and higher paying jobs so the people of Italy can experience as much wealth as the country as a whole. A way to create more jobs would to seperate the gao between the industrial northern Italy and the rural southern. The unemployment in the north is less than if the south because of all of the capital. If they were to bridge the gap, people in southern Italy could possibly get factory jobs and people in the north could get farming or more rural jobs.
Overall, Italy is doing very well as a country and does not have any dire concerns. The country's overall GDP is very high, they are seeing growth in their economy, and they have access to many rescources. Of course, improvements can be made as previously discussed, but Italy is in good shape based on the information currently available.
